Sketch Comedy Writing with Dad’s Garage
Unlock your creativity, hone your comedic instincts, and dive into the world of sketch comedy with this exciting and dynamic course offered in collaboration with Dad’s Garage Theatre. Whether you are an aspiring comedian or just looking to have a blast while learning acting or screenwriting, this class will take you on a journey through the art of improvisation and sketch comedy development.
Dad’s Garage, a renowned comedy institution, brings its expertise to your fingertips in this hands-on, laughter-filled experience. Students will participate in weekly group writing sessions outside of class to further develop the skill of pitching ideas, how to give and take critical feedback, and how to work with others in a writing room scenario. Students create their very own scripts that can be recorded at the end of the course.

Curriculum Creators/Instructors:
Tim Stoltenberg (SAG/AFTRA, AEA)
Currently the Artistic Director of Dad’s Garage Theatre and couldn’t be happier about it. Tim has been creating, teaching, and performing improv and comedy for over 20 years. Tim has been seen at numerous comedy festivals; Pittsburgh, Palm Springs, Kansas City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and others. Tim has performed in Atlanta at The Alliance, The Academy Theatre, Synchronicity, Center for Puppetry Art, Agatha’s Dinner Theatre, and Laughing Matters.
Chicago credits; The Second City Touring Company, Metropolis Theatre, Annoyance, UP Stage, Second City ETC and Mainstage, and iO. As well as performing at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Phoenix Theatre, Goodman Theatre (Chicago). Tim has been seen in numerous commercials for AT&T, T-Mobile, Georgia Lottery, Southwest Airlines, Walgreens, and most recently for WhatsApp.
Eve Krueger (AEA/SAG-AFTRA)
Eve grew up in Marietta, GA and attended Berry College where she got a BA in theatre. After graduation she moved to Atlanta where she worked extensively as an actor, improviser and director with Dad’s Garage, Laughing Matters, Georgia Ensemble Theatre, Aurora Theatre, Essential Theatre, Alliance Theatre and Synchronicity Performance Group. She moved to Chicago in 2013 and focused on sketch and improvisation, performing, teaching and directing for The Second City, The Annoyance Theatre, iO and Laugh Out Loud. In 2022 she completed an MFA in theatre from Kent State University and moved back to Atlanta. She is the Associate Artistic Director at Dad’s Garage as well as a professor of theatre for Georgia Perimeter College (Clarkston Campus). Atlanta theatre audiences may recognize her from Designing Women at Horizon Theatre Company, Home, I’m Darling with Synchronicity, or improvising with Dad’s Garage and as a member of the Y’allmark Improvised Holiday Movie cast.
