Get out of the classroom (mostly) and into the field with this hands-on tech scout experience at a real location at Trilith. Using a mock scene written for the site, students will walk through the pre-production process with instructors acting as department heads—Director, DP, AD, Grip, Electric, Art, and more.
Together, we will learn how different departments needs impact the work of the Locations department: lighting setups, rigging, set dressing, permitting, protecting the property, truck and generator placement, and even neighborhood communication.
This workshop offers a practical, behind-the-scenes look at what it really takes to plan a successful location shoot—perfect for students ready to step into professional-level problem-solving.
