Frequently Asked Questions

  •    Who can sign up for the Script to Screen Summer Camp Series?
    • We welcome any middle or high school student* interested in learning more about the film industry and working closely with peers on creative projects.
*Our Advanced Production and Advanced Screenwriting camps are only open to high school students.
  • Are there any prerequisites for campers?
    • The only camp with a prerequisite is the Advanced Production Camp. Eligible students must have attended the 2023 Script to Screen Summer Camp OR have participated in AVTF or other film programs in their high schools.
  • What will campers create during the camps?
    • Throughout the Script to Screen Summer Camp Series, campers will work together to produce 4 short films. Each Production Camp will be dedicated to principal photography for two of those short films. The Post-Production campers will cut the final versions of the films together. Campers in the Screenwriting Camp from June 24-28 will work together to write the two short films that will be produced in the Advanced Production Camp. We will not be producing the scripts written in the Advanced Screenwriting Camp, but that will allow for more creative freedom for the campers.
  • Will there be a chance to watch the films produced during the Script to Screen Summer Camp Series?
    • Yes! Each of the short films will be premiered at our inaugural Script to Screen Film Festival on Saturday, July 20. Campers from the Advanced Screenwriting Camp will also have the opportunity to have their scripts performed at a live table read with actors from the Alliance Theatre during the film festival. All campers and their families and friends are invited to attend. More details to come.
  • Who will lead camp activities?
    • Each camp activity across all camps will be led by a film industry expert with years of experience in their respective department/field.
  • Can I sign up for multiple camps? Are there discounted rates for signing up for multiple camps?
    • Absolutely! You can create a summer camp experience perfectly tailored to your film industry interests. A discount will be applied at checkout when you add multiple camps to your shopping cart. Keep in mind
that the post-production and screenwriting camps occur simultaneously, but each will be offered twice in the Script to Screen Summer Camp Series, so you can sign up for screenwriting in June and post-production in July, or vice versa.
  • Will the content produced in the camp be appropriate for my child?
    • We will not produce anything that exceeds PG-13 ratings.
  • Will there be acting opportunities for campers?
    • There may be some acting workshops during down-time between camp activities, but the acting roles will be filled by members of the Alliance Theatre’s Teen Ensemble. If you’re interested in an acting camp,
the Alliance Theatre will be running a number of camps alongside the Script to Screen Summer Camp Series. For more information, visit their website: https://www.alliancetheatre.org/education/youth/camps?class_categories=449
  • Is this an overnight camp?
    • No, each camp in the Script to Screen Summer Camp Series is a day camp running from 10 AM – 5 PM Monday-Friday.
  • Are there any discounts at local hotels for campers from out of town?
    • Any out-of-town campers are welcome to use our discount codes for either the Guesthouse within the town of Trilith or the Hilton Peachtree City. After registering for the camp, you may reach out to academics@trilithinstitute.org or contact@trilithinstitute.org to inquire about those discount codes.
  • Is lunch provided?
    • No, we ask that each camper bring their own lunch each day. Snacks will be provided.
  • What is the refund policy for these camps?
    • Full refunds are available until April 30. 50% refunds are available between May 1-31. No refunds will be granted after May 31.
  • As a Trilith resident, do I get a discount?
    • Yes. Please send a picture of your photo ID listing a Trilith address to academics@trilithinstitute.org with the subject line “Trilith Resident,” and you will receive a coupon code for 10% off your order.
  • Are sponsorships available to campers?
