Join award-winning television writer Susan Dansby for Writing for Soap Operas: The Art of Long Form Television Storytelling. This workshop offers an inside look at writing for serialized television and the craft of developing stories and characters that continue across multiple episodes.
Participants may attend in person at Trilith Institute or virtually.
Who Should Attend
Susan Dansby has earned seven Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Emmy® Awards and four Writers Guild of America Awards for her writing on CBS daytime dramas, AS THE WORLD TURNS and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Most recently, she applied her expertise as Script Editor to CBS’s BEYOND THE GATES during its first two seasons. Susan also served as a story consultant for Y&R and a consulting producer for AMBITIONS, a prime-time soap on OWN. Additionally, she is a professional television director with credits including GUIDING LIGHT, GHOSTWRITER, SESAME STREET, and GENERAL HOSPITAL. She holds a BFA in Drama from Carnegie-Mellon University.
