Instructor and Course Creator: Justin Wagner
With over twelve years experience in the animation industry. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008 with an MFA in Sequential Art. After working as an illustrator and comic book artist for several years after graduation, Justin found his home in animation at Floyd County Productions. More specifically, he has worked on FXX’s animated program Archer for over a decade. Hired as a storyboard revisionist, he quickly developed a skillset that allowed him to rise to the level of storyboard artist, then lead storyboard artist, and ultimately landing in the role of art director/producer on the series. These roles have developed Justin into a visual storyteller who understands the perspective of the board artist, but also the goal of an animation production as a whole:
to thrill audiences through supporting the script as best as possible.
He lives in the Atlanta area and when he isn’t glued to a Cintiq, he’s enjoying the company of Artie, his King Charles spaniel who needs constant attention.
