CG spaceships, dinosaurs, robots, fantasy environments – they’re all created with digital modeling. In this workshop, you will learn how to create your own digital assets for film and TV using the industry standard for 3D visual effects and animation.

Gain hands-on experience with Autodesk Maya, learning the tools used to create digital models. You will be guided through the creation of an asset using reference stills and will then be given the chance to create an asset of your choosing, with guidance from an industry expert.

This is a full-day workshop, covering the following:
• Principles of Digital Modeling
• Autodesk Maya Basics
• Hard-Surface Modeling in Maya
• UV Projection and Texturing in Maya

Meet Your Instructor: Josh LittleJoshua Little

Joshua Little is an Atlanta-based filmmaker and owner of Alectreon, a visual effects boutique and production company. He has contributed VFX work to more than 70 film and television projects in addition to directing short films and VFX element shoots. He also writes custom software for VFX and animation pipelines. Joshua’s credits include Spider-Man: No Way Home (3d Artist); ​Day Shift (Compositor); They Cloned Tyrone (Compositor); Moon Knight (Digital Compositor); Loki: Season 1 (Cg Artist); The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (Cg Artist); The Craft: Legacy​ (Digital Compositor); and The Orville: Season 3 (Digital Compositor). He received a BA in Psychology and Cinema & Media Arts from Vanderbilt University and an MFA in Film Production from Florida State University.

WE'RE JUST GETTING STARTED
