Fiscal Sponsorship at Trilith Institute – A Pathway to Funding for Georgia Filmmakers
Trilith Institute is proud to launch its Fiscal Sponsorship Program, designed to support emerging and independent creators working in television, episodic content, film, digital shorts, and media projects.
While Trilith Institute does not provide funding, this program allows filmmakers to raise donations through grants, individuals, foundations, corporations, and government agencies by accessing our nonprofit tax-exempt status, making donations to their projects tax-deductible. Filmmakers maintain full creative control and ownership of their work while benefiting from the credibility and structure of our 501(c)(3) designation.
Why Fiscal Sponsorship?
Our sponsorship model follows the industry-standard “Pre-Approved Grant Relationship”, used widely in the arts and media sectors. With this model, your project remains entirely independent. Trilith Institute acts as a financial steward, ensuring donations are used for their intended purpose and providing basic oversight and reporting support.
This is ideal for creators who need access to funding pathways while keeping their production fully self-managed.

Eligibility at a Glance
🎥 You must be a Georgia-based producer or director
📍 Your project must be developed, filmed, and post-produced in Georgia
💰 Budget range: $25,000 to $500,000
👨👩👧👦 Project must be PG or family-friendly content
