In this hands-on, one-day workshop, you’ll dive into the art of film editing using real footage from two short films created during our film camp for adults. You will explore the fundamentals of post-production — including pacing, tone, and storytelling through editing — then create your own unique version of at least one of the films. No matter your experience level, this is your chance to experiment, collaborate, and discover the power of storytelling in the edit room.
*Attendees will have the opportunity to take footage home if project is incomplete or for additional practice.
Josh is a video editor and post-production producer based in Atlanta, working across broadcast, corporate, and digital content. He specializes in creating clean, engaging edits that tell a clear story, hit deadlines, and elevate the brand.
Over the years, he has worked on everything from network television and live events to branded content, webinars, sizzles, and social campaigns. His focus is always the same: strong storytelling, smooth pacing, and broadcast-ready delivery.
He is also the founder of the Atlanta Editors Collective, a growing community built to connect editors, producers, and post professionals across the Southeast. Through AEC, he helps match great talent with great projects while building real relationships in the industry.
Tools he works with daily include Premiere Pro, After Effects, Avid Media Composer, and DaVinci Resolve, along with workflows for motion graphics, color, delivery specs, and client collaboration.
