DESCRIPTION:Trilith Institute is proud to present Sketchy Business ATL\, a live comedy showcase and fundraiser launching the new StoryMakers cultural event series. The event will take place on Friday\, July 18\, 2025\, at the Town Stage at Trilith in Fayetteville\, Georgia. Online ticket sales ends at 12PM on July 18th\, however\, tickets will be available for sale at the door. \nHosted by Christian Noël\, Trilith Institute’s 2025 Emerging Creative in Residence (ECR)\, Sketchy Business ATL will feature a night of original sketch comedy\, short plays\, improv\, and comedic shorts\, all created and performed by Georgia-based talent. \nProceeds from the event will support Trilith Institute’s mission to cultivate the next generation of storytellers through hands-on education\, mentorship\, and workforce development. Funding will help expand access to signature initiatives such as next year’s ECR\, Script to Screen summer camps\, professional education courses\, and fellowship grants\, all programs designed to equip creatives with the training\, industry exposure\, and resources needed to build sustainable careers in film\, television\, and digital media. \nWith PG-rated humor the whole crew can enjoy (recommended for ages 12+)\, this family-friendly event will also feature a silent auction\, raffle for a background acting role in our upcoming ECR project\, and concessions for purchase. SUMMARY:Locations Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Get out of the classroom (mostly) and into the field with this hands-on tech scout experience at a real location at Trilith. Using a mock scene written for the site\, students will walk through the pre-production process with instructors acting as department heads—Director\, DP\, AD\, Grip\, Electric\, Art\, and more. \nTogether\,  we will learn how different departments needs impact the work of the Locations department: lighting setups\, rigging\, set dressing\, permitting\, protecting the property\, truck and generator placement\, and even neighborhood communication. \nThis workshop offers a practical\, behind-the-scenes look at what it really takes to plan a successful location shoot—perfect for students ready to step into professional-level problem-solving.
